A project is not a set of discrete pieces. These pieces must be woven together to make something that is more than the sum of its parts. And weaving is not just simply setting things together, but creating bonds and relationships between them that make them stronger. These woven bonds are where the project grows and defines itself.

The act of weaving is a process that is both planned ahead of time and adjusts as it goes. This is also how the design process works. In these projects, the weaving is done both physically through the building components and conceptually as things such as the site, the users, and the program are brought together in a meaningful way.

Weaving also creates patterns as it works. It is these patterns that make the bonds, both physical and conceptual, seen and felt in the final project.
