Thinking about this project while sitting at it reveals its power. It brings you in with its smooth forms and material beauty.  You can’t help but be drawn to it and its design creates a space for the body that feels like a gentle embrace.  As a piece of public furniture this gives the design a clearly enticing flavor, giving it’s location in the park a favored status.  But at the same time, as it is public, at some point you leave it behind, losing that sense that the space belongs to you and you belong to it.  This temporal aspect of the design gave it it’s name.
